Abstract
The Indian Penal Code (IPC) is like a strong pillar in India's laws, ensuring that fairness is kept alive. It helps bring to task those who break the rules and harm others. While it's usually praised for keeping things in order, we should also talk honestly about when things don't go as planned. This talk takes us into a lesser-known area – when parts of the IPC are used in the wrong way. Sections like 498A, 354, 376, and 295A, meant to make things fair, sometimes end up being used for selfish reasons. This discussion brings these cases into the open, showing that they don't match the spirit of the law.
By looking closely at these cases, we want to start conversations about stopping this kind of misuse and making sure the law stays strong. As we uncover these problems, we're trying to find a way to make sure the law is fair and that the IPC keeps its good name.
